"For DreamWorks Animation's 'Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa' end credits, I was part of a team that brought whimsical paper puppet versions of the characters to life.
Photorealistic paper sculptures were made ofAll the characters in the film. I was responsible for animating the hippos, shark, and squirrels specifically. Whether lumbering, menacing or scampering, my animation captured each character's unique personality.
In addition to individual performances, I also brought the surrounding water to life through stylised paper animation. For the climactic transition, I created an animated African pattern closed across the scene like interlocking gears
It was very rewarding to see how skillfully animating these paper puppets, alongside others' contributions, transported viewers memorably into the end credits through enchanting performances.
